NCL Escape - Day 5 -Last Day!
We spent a lazy day at sea, hanging by the pool, eating and enjoying the gorgeous views. I just love sea days – no crazy itinerary and we go at our own pace.
A note on bars/waitstaff - every bartender and waiter/waitress we encountered was AMAZING. Never waited more than a few minutes for drinks and poolside service was great. These folks work so hard and always with a smile! All the bars, inside and out, were terrific with wonderful attentive staff.
Our final dinner was a specialty restaurant – La Cucina! We’ve eaten at La Cucina on the NCL Getaway and the Encore’s version did not disappoint. I had the burrata caprese to start and the pesto gnocchi and the prosciutto pizza which were both delicious. The girls had plain pasta *sigh* but we all had dessert – the chocolate tartlet and the tiramisu. Wonderful all around!
Logged in to Splash Academy and never got a text that they were ready for my kids. My girls were so disappointed, as was I, since I would have no down time to pack without them underfoot. We are sailing again with NCL in November out of Miami and if this continues to be an issue it may be a dealbreaker for us sailing with them again.
